Frequently Asked Questions
Casting & Auditions
-
We consider a variety of factors when casting each show, including age, prior show experience, talent, confidence on stage, and behavior. During auditions, each student completes a form where they can list their top three desired roles, and we make sure that every performer is able to read for their top-choice role during auditions. Ultimately, casting decisions are left up to the PAC team.
-
We strongly encourage all students to participate in the production, regardless of the role assigned. Every part contributes to the overall success of the show, and there are countless valuable lessons that come from each class and performance. Please note that we do not offer any refunds.
-
To ensure fairness in casting and consistency for all students, we require full enrollment before participating in any part of the program, including auditions.
-
You may include casting requests – such as being placed with a friend – in the “Anything else we should know?” section of the enrollment form. Siblings will automatically be assigned to the same cast.
-
Cast lists and scripts will be sent out via email the day before the first rehearsal. The cast list can be found on the final page of the script.
Rehearsals
-
If early pick up is necessary, please email us at theperformingartscollective@gmail.com at least 24 hours in advance so we can make the proper arrangements.
-
Yes. Attendance at tech and dress rehearsals is mandatory for all participants, unless an excused absence has been communicated and approved in advance. These rehearsals are essential for ensuring a smooth and successful performance.
-
To maintain a focused and safe environment (and to preserve the magic of the final performance), we do not allow friends or family members to sit in on rehearsals or auditions.
Costumes
-
You do not need to make reservations for costumes. Costumes will be distributed during the dress rehearsal on show day. Please make sure to review the costume breakdown email to confirm that your child’s correct size is listed.
